This page is being brought to you in an effort to dispell the myth that Insulin is a cure for the Heartwrenching debilatating emotional roller coaster ride that Diabetes Melitus really is. Simply stated Insulin is not a cure. Since 1922 or so Insulin has been a help in trying to control this insidious Family disease but it really doesn't come close. Yes I said Family disease because it is not a 9 year old alone who has to deal with his/her condition but also a list of caregivers ...Mom , Dad , big brother or sister, Husband, wife....
Frankly to think we have a disease under control is a Cop-out. It is time we had a cure and It is my wish that one day soon it'll be here so no more little ones will have to deal with the struggles that is Diabetes. Checking Blood Glucose every two to four hours is simply barbaric and although it may be a money maker for some of the pharmaceutical giants, the little people have suffered enough and a cure should be sought for their sake .
